Robot Laser Drilling Line

One line. From raw sheet to clean, drilled glass

At a glance
Max. glass size 2500 × 1300 mm
Glass thickness 3–12 mm
Total line length approx. 17 m (2 lasers)
2–3 operators per shift

The line loads the glass with a multi-axis industrial robot, drills it with one or more fibre-laser drilling machines, washes and dries it, and unloads it automatically.

Two to three operators per shift run the whole line.

    Why customers choose this line

    Fully automatic flow

Loading, positioning, drilling, washing, drying and unloading run as one synchronised sequence.

    Dry, non-contact drilling

No drill bits, no cooling water at the laser, no tool changes. Round and special-shape holes from a DXF file.

    Clean glass at the outfeed

Brush washing, three-stage spray and infrared drying. Glass leaves the line ready for the next process.

    Modular and expandable

Add laser machines or adapt the module order to fit your workshop.

    Safe by design

Class 1 enclosed laser, emergency stops along the line and anti-collision interlocks between stations.

    Supported on site

MOKE engineers install, commission and train your team at your plant.

      Modules and specifications

Module 1 · Industrial robot loading and unloading

A multi-axis industrial robot stands at each end of the line. At the infeed it picks each raw sheet from the rack with a vacuum suction gripper and lays it flat on the roller table. At the outfeed the second robot takes the finished, dry sheet and stacks it on the rack. No manual lifting of glass.

      Less handling, fewer breakages

The robots lift and place every sheet the same way, so operators no longer carry glass.

      Synchronised with the line

The robot only places the next sheet when the station ahead is clear.

      Safe working zone

The robot working area is fenced or protected with light curtains on site.

          Interlocks between stations

Photoelectric sensors and first-in-first-out queue logic stop the conveyor before sheets can collide.

          Robot working zone

Each industrial robot works inside a fenced or light-curtain protected area. The fencing or light curtains are provided on site by the customer, to local regulations.

          Locked electrical cabinets

All cabinets are locked with triangular keys; only qualified technicians can open them.
